Competitions

Tweseldown is one of the UK’s premier eventing sites attracting riders from the grass roots levels up to International stars such as William Fox-Pitt, Zara Tindell and Andrew Nicholson.
The free draining sandy soil enables excellent going all year round.
Along with three unaffiliated Horse Trials throughout the year Tweseldown also hosts four BE events in March, May and July and October.

BE Horse Trials 80cm-100cm

We are one of the only venues in England to be lucky enough to run 4 BE Horse Trials a year.  Our spring events attract some of the top Horse & Rider combinations in the world and the Summer and Autumn events are aimed at the up and coming.  The cross country phase is designed by Badminton course designer Eric Winter and built by Jump 1.  We produce top class educational tracks to prepare horse and rider to move up the levels.

Un Affiliated Horse Trials 60cm-100cm

All of our Un Affiliated Horse Trials are run to the same standard as BE Horse Trials.  Ambulance, Doctors, Vets, Health & Safety officers and Officials are all present.  The XC is designed by Eric Winter and built by Jump 1.

SJ and Dressage

Our low key combined training competitions give horse & riders a great opportunity to train on grass.

Eventer Challenge

The Eventer Challenge series (50 cm – 110 cm) is run throughout the year. Riders compete in XC gear, jump a round of Show Jumps and then head straight out onto XC which is a shorted version of our horse trial tracks.  Another low key friendly competition aimed at preparing both horse and rider for Horse Trials.
